Yagyu-No-Sho Entry View

“A conscientious inn of sumptuous comfort”

Takashi Hasegawa, the successor of the second generation, stated that Yagyu-No-Sho was established in 1959 during the opening of the ryotei restaurant Yagyu in Shiba Shirokane, Tokyo.

Based on the dedication to Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine, our founder’s culinary passion drove the ongoing development of our establishment.

In 1970, our founder envisioned a distinguished inn to captivate the enduring natural splendour near Shuzenji Temple in Japan. As he is passionate about kendo, he named the hot spring Yagyu-No-Sho, which was created in sukiya style among bamboo groves.

Integrating traditional cuisine, baths, scenic landscapes and Japanese architecture produces a harmonious experience, reflecting the essence of the luxurious and thoughtful inn.

In 2009, for our 40th anniversary, the entrance, baths and all guest suites were renovated using ancient honsuki techniques, demonstrating true craftsmanship. The ultimate commitment to hospitality is to offer guests an enhanced nostalgic experience at the Japanese inn.
